Delayed Bill Payment - Late Fee


Hi, all,
I recently paid a monthly bill for my post-paid mobile internet contract and the next day got a notification about the same bill being due in two days.  I tried getting them to assist me via their chat by the call centre workers couldn't assist (can't tell me if it's showing in their system, can't send them a screenshot of my bank statement transactions showing pending payment as proof).  Wouldn't tell me if I'd be charged a late fee if it's still pending after the due date.  What happens if payment clears after due date yet I get charged a late fee?  Does Telstra reimburse automatically or do I have to chase them up for it?
