I have tried all the links and cannot get a satisfactory answer as to why I’m being charged for a starter broadband charge 

when I already have nbn

foes anyone have a direct number I can contact 

this is annoying

The "Starter Internet Plan" is the $60 per month, 25GB plan on the 12/1Mbps speed tier.

Basically for people who don't use the internet much at all.


If that's not the plan that you are supposed to be on, send a message using the My Telstra app on your mobile (blue icon, bottom right of Get Help screen) and someone should respond to your query in a few hours/couple of days.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Set it & forget it

With direct debit there’s no need to give paying your bill another thought.

Avoid queuing up and never worry about late fees again.

Setup direct debit
