Has something changed in Telstra's billing system? I now get 4 bills per month!

Recently I updated to a new iPhone and they put me on an "upfront" plan. Within weeks I have discovered that I now get one bill and a direct debit for my wife's phone and Foxtel, one for the repayment on my handset, one for my upfront plan on the new phone and one for my netflix subscription. In the past I was always able to ask Telstra to combine everything into one monthly payment but when I spoke to their support people in the MyTelstra app, they told me that this can't be done. I am mortified if this is true because it adds 3 additional bank transactions per month. In addition, I'm now wondering if there is any value in having my Foxtel billed through Telstra anymore. Please tell me that this can be rectified because in my view, if it can't then I would have to consider the relative merits of moving to a different provider.

It's odd that the Netflix is coming through separately, it should be coming through as part of the Foxtel service's bill.

The Upfront plan will come through as separate though as it is billed individually with its own payment date/method, although I would have thought that the handset should have come through on the same bill as it is tied to the service..

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

With Upfront plans, if you take out a new handset on a date that's not the plan commencement date, you'll see a separate direct debit charge for this. More info on the billing of our Upfront plans can be found at this link https://tel.st/cytz33

Set it & forget it

With direct debit there’s no need to give paying your bill another thought.

Avoid queuing up and never worry about late fees again.
