Isn't it against the law not to provide a customer with an invoice?

I purchased a phone plan and iPhone two weeks ago through the Telstra website and have yet to receive a tax invoice or copy of the contract. Isn't this illegal? I have asked multiple Telstra support staff members for my copy to be sent to me but this has been ignored.

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

They have 28 days to provide the Tax Invoice under Australian Law. But usually it gets sent (normally emailed) as soon as the plan becomes active. It should be part of the Welcome email.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Set it & forget it

With direct debit there’s no need to give paying your bill another thought.

Avoid queuing up and never worry about late fees again.
