Kayo Subscription - Added without my authority

Answered

When I noticed my bills going up in the last few months I checked them. To my horror I saw "Kayo Subscription" - I had no idea what this is until I Googled it.

I did not authorize this and its tantamount to theft. Telstra have no responded to my FB message as I don't want to spend hours on the phone with the Philippines.

Anyone else experience this?

Re: Kayo Subscription - Added without my authority

You would need to check with Kayo about a subscription. Contact them via Contact Support | Kayo Sports

Telstra is only acting as the billing agent, the subscription is managed through Kayo Sports (Streamotion) directly. You may need to check your parents email account for a confirmation email.

Send a message using the My Telstra app on your mobile (blue icon, bottom right of Get Help screen). If Codi redirects you, type "Speak to a consultant" and you should be transferred to the queue to chat with a human. It can take a few hours to get a response and you will receive a notification through the app when someone responds.

Hi Noinrat, just checking in to see if you were able to get assistance over the Telstra app? If so, what information was given about the Kayo subscription?

Re: Kayo Subscription - Added without my authority

Hello Amber, I used MyTelstra app and got a support person to organize a refund which will be a credit on the next bill due 8th December. I am still baffled and very frustrated as no one can tell me how this subscription became active in the first place, Telstra are telling me I have to contact Kayo, but the bill is from Telstra! not good enough. I manage these bills for my parents in their 80's and they would have no clue to check for this kind of thing, imagine all the other people paying for something they didnt ask for, which is reprehensible. We never asked for this service and I have no idea how Telstra started billing us and why this service was implemented without my approval.

Re: Kayo Subscription - Added without my authority

Telstra support had no clue about how they came to be billing me and I need to instead contact Kayo about this which I find reprehensible.

Set it & forget it

With direct debit there’s no need to give paying your bill another thought.

Avoid queuing up and never worry about late fees again.
