Overcharged $135 on my Telstra account, but unable to dispute.

Hi,

I have been charged a call out fee of $135 which I clearly did not agree. When I received the SMS, I responded NO. I do not accept a technician to come to my address. I did not need an a technician. So it was cancelled and no-one turned up, but it is in my bill. Why am I being charged and how do I dispute it. I have tried everything to get in contact with Telstra, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, everything I try does not get through. Please help how I can dispute this overcharged bill.

Send a message using the My Telstra app on your mobile (blue icon, bottom right of Get Help screen) and someone should respond in a few hours/couple of days.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Thank you, but the app just went to some automated feature response and was looping with the same questions. Anyway, I got it sorted via Facebook and my billing has now been corrected. Thank you once again.
