Suffering Domestic Violence

Answered

Hi, I’m severely affected by DV and am now homeless, my estranged husband has been emotionally, psychologically, mentally, financially and Physically abusing me for almost 2 years. On my 3rd attempt at leaving he took our kids and didn’t disclose the location for almost 3 weeks. I applied for a DV first, only having him do a cross application unbeknownst to me, in my absence the judge granted him a TPO, so he continues to legally abuse me. What help can I access in regards to my bill? He’s cut me off completely, I can’t even return to our house. He’s taking everything. Any advice help?

Sorry to hear what has been happening. The best thing I can do is direct you to the following page, which has all of Telstra's DV advice in one location.

Definitely get in contact with the SAFE Team as soon as you are able.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
