Received a suspension of services letter saying that we have an overdue account when we are on ongoing payment plan that has still been coming out of our account every Thursday. Has this happened in anyone else

You will need to contact "Credit Management" on 132200 to find out what is going on (or ask for Credit Management using the My Telstra app on your mobile).
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
