Telstra Bill Scammer using Gmail account

Answered

I check my emails on a number of devices, and I noticed this scam email earlier this evening.

This is how the email appears in Windows 10 default Mail program.   It claims to have come from telstra@online.telstra.com.au, displays an absurdly high bill, and has a suspicious .html file embedded.

On my mac, the same email is clearly sent from telstraemailbill@gmail.com, and is presented like so...

I just wonder how many other people, who don't have access to different devices and/or mail programs, haplessly fall for this.

Just a heads up.

Cheers.

Set it & forget it

With direct debit there’s no need to give paying your bill another thought.

Avoid queuing up and never worry about late fees again.
