FTTN replaced with HFC. Connection queries.
Hi all, Bit of a weird issue
I have upgraded from ADSL to a FTTN NBN connection and now no computers on my network will connect to a remote VPN server. I obviously don’t need any port forwards as it is outgoing data.
i have tried differ modem/router and still does not work. If i use my 4G LTE Router on the network, it works but its not a permanent solution as the 4G External ip changes.
Any ideas???
Regards
Anthony

Re: FTTN replaced with HFC. Connection queries.
It could the VPN server site might be blocked by Telstra Broadband Protect. You could bypass Broadband protect by using a custom DNS on your devices. If IPv6 is enabled on device will also have change the IPv6 DNS or disable LAN IPv6 in the modem.
