Fourth Day with Little or NO Internet; Internet speed 0.3mbps, so not even half a megabyte per sec

I am paying $90 per month and my megabyte download speed is 0.3mbps; not even half a megabyte! Is this Australia still or a third world country, because now we have a SECOND RATE TELCO. I have been with Telstra for over 25 years and never before have I been unable to get the issue resolved after a couple of days. There is no-one on the 132200 no. and no-one to assist in rectifying the problem. Meanwhile I can't even load a movie on STAN to watch. It is school holidays and we can't watch any holiday entertainment whatsoever. THIS ABYSMAL TREATMENT OF CUSTOMERS TELSTRA IS UNFORGIVEABLE. I think I will start the search for a new TELCO and to heck with 25 years of being a customer!! You don't care, so why should I? A disgruntled longtime customer, soon to be ex-customer. Appalling.

You could lodge a complaint with Telstra.....or report your situation to the TIO.

This definitely doesn't sound ike the experience we want for our customers. Understand you have had troubes with your service, have you tried contacting us to have this investigated further?

If so, what has been advised?

If you have a Smart Modem - with 4G backup, disconnect the cable from the (red) WAN port or the (grey) DSL port and wait a few minutes for the modem switch to backup up mode.

 

That should get you a bit more speed, while you report the issue with the NBN service and it gets fixed.

 

4G would allow limited streaming.

You can also got to https://fix.telstra.com.au and run through the troubleshooting and automated checks. If that can't identify and fix the problem, it will transfer you to customer service for assistance.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Set it & forget it

With direct debit there’s no need to give paying your bill another thought.

Avoid queuing up and never worry about late fees again.

Setup direct debit
