How do I change my avatar name on here? I have no idea why it says "jonboy" . That has never been a part of my real name or used to get my attention in any way

You choose your Avatar name when you sign up.

The only way to get it changed is to ask a Community Manager such as @DanK if they can change it for you.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
