Porting mobile from Vodaphone to Telstra
We are porting our 2 mobile phone numbers from Vodaphone to Telstra.
Received both sim cards in mail today.
In reading the instructions, and some posts on forums, it appears that it may take up to 72 hours once we submit the official request on activation.telstra.com.
My question is, once i submit the activation request to port the numbers, do i lose access to my mobile number until its complete? Or does it continue to work?

As we will be having the number changed from the current [provider to us, there will have to be some downtime whilst this process is completed. We will try and keep this to a minimum, and as long as there are no issues with the order in the system, then you shouldn't lose access for too long.
