SMS text with fake looking link

Answered

Hello,

is the link I keep getting in Telstra SMS's legit?

https://mytelstra.onelink.me/BJRB/faluts

If it is legit, looks fake and why is Telstra using stupid URL's?

Thanks

Re: SMS text with fake looking link

They used to use ones that started https://tel.st but they changed to the onelink.me ones recently. I don't particularly like them either. The should just use telstra.com.au/.... and create short links for the pages under that as yes, people rightly assume that if they don't relate to an organisation's known domain, they are scam links.

Re: SMS text with fake looking link

It is legitimate, but a rather useless example of a shortened link as it is longer than the link it actually represents (https://telstra.com.au/mytelstra)

Re: SMS text with fake looking link

I can't understand why they would use a URL that looks so fake..
