What Happened to Live Chat

Hi, I've used Live Chat effectively for many years.

It appears to have disappeared since the start of Covid,

"Codi" the substitute  is useless and can't address my problems and should be put back into his box and hidden away in Telstra's cupboard.

Any chance on seeing Live Chat again? .

Hello, I read well before Covid that Telstra was eager to digitize it's customer service to reduce costs. It appears that the virus situation gave Telstra that opportunity. If you make something very difficult, many people will give up, and that's exactly what appears to any reasonable outsider.

Thank you Professor for answering my query,

I received the usual email "Did we do a marvellous job" from Telstra this morning. Tick the box. 

What could I say?

My only response to their dumbing down of service is.

Bring back Live Chat!

It works fine for some of us.

Hi Professor, For some explicable reason I got a chat box when I was sorting out my Telstra account details on my Telsta login page..No Codi. 

I got a good hold of Mitch on chat and had him working on sim cards that I had a problem with and cancelled 4 others that had expired. At least an hours work though he seemed to be multi tasking with others..

Finally There was no option to get sent the "chat" record and only one survey question 1-5 smiley faces. 

Most odd but I am one happy chap to have succeeded.

I asked if Chat 24/7 would return and here's his answer screen shots.

LiveChat should be working https://tel.st/t65yg I suggest you use it between 9am to 5pm M-F.

Telstra still has 1/3 of their support unavailable due to COVID employment restrictions.

I just tested it myself and it seems to be working...

Sometimes certain settings within the browser prevents the pop-up, such as ad suppression.

It also might require java installed, I'm not 100% sure on that.

Yes i too used to use the "Live Chat" all the time for technical and billing which was great, and would be ideal currently in a Covid world, but that seems to have gone by the way side along time ago

Just tonight i could not get my Telstra Smart Modem wi-fi to work and was forced to use the Mobile Chat app which is not real-time and after hours of no response gave up. Need to reinstate the Live Chat.
