Telstra shop appointments

Today I was suggested to visit a Telstra shop by an online person who was trying tohelp me. I tried to book an appointment and saw there were no appointments available for several weeks - I gave up then and drove 1 hour into the local Tesltra shop. It was closed. I was annoyed because no one seems to be able to help me unlock my mobile phone.How about putting a notice on your site and telling your contractors that all or someTelstra shops are closed?

@Change8 Telstra shops can't assist with network unlocking of phones.

You need to call 132200 and say, ‘unlock device option’ when prompted. You can call Monday to Friday 9am - 8pm AEST.

The Telstra shop situation will soon be standardized as Telstra is currently taking back all licensed/franchised stores, to be run by Telstra staff in the near  future.

@ProfessorPhone even the Telstra owned stores can't process a network unlocking request. Has to go through the call centre.

Jupiter, I never said Telstra shops could unlock phones.

What I did say is his criticism of Telstra shops, some being open and some closed.

I was just clarifying that even though Telstra is taking back the ownership of all stores doesn't change the fact that they still wouldn't have been able to assist the OP in what they currently need assistance with. I am sorry that you misinterpreted the intention of my post. 

 

I will note that there are a lot of stores marked as closed on their Store Details page.

I'm wondering whether the OP looked at that page or just went to the Appointments page, saw that there weren't any appointments and just decided that the appointments page was wrong.

 

It might be an idea for Telstra to add the opening hours to the top right of the Appointments booking page as well, so that all the information is on the one page.
