COVID-19 Bonus Data

Hi, I registered for the bonus data for my prepaid service. I recharged $40 on April 15 but my account is not showing the bonus data.

Any feedback would be appreciated.🙏

Hi Coottha,

 

The Bonus Data is no longer available for Pre-Paid customer's to register for.

 

A Pre-paid customer had to register for the free Data by the 31st March and to qualify for this the last recharge had to be $40 or more.

It was also a once off Bonus Data....not ongoing with every Recharge after registering.

 

 

I am NOT a Telstra employee and never have been. However, I AM a customer who volunteer's my time in the hope to help someone with their question.

Thank you Smiley3 for your help. You have clarified my misunderstanding about the bonus data as I thought it was an ongoing bonus, not a one off.

Unfortunately it's not an ongoing thing.

 

Consumer and small business home broadband customers (ADSL, NBN and Cable) will get unlimited data at no additional charge on their plan until 30 June 2020.

Telstra doesn’t really like us prepaid users that can’t afford a 24 month plan. Or have had it hard in the past and have bad credit ratings so they won’t approve us. They’d rather us struggle more by charging us more for less. And with that bit extra it cost us theY can give more to the post paid members. We are the scum of the customer base.

Totally! It was still showing they would give extra data to pre-paid a couple of weeks ago, when I joined Telstra, partly to get the free data! Scammers! Also I never saw mention of a date and it implied you could keep getting until end of June! 

Basically, such a **bleep** company, they have to lie to get customers, pretty pathetic.  Mind you, it's been like that from the start. 40 years ago, my friend worked in their hr and used to sign himself in at work then go home! They never caught him! hilarious 😂
