Data

My daughter is in boarding and she needs more data. At the moment we use the recharge option of $30 but we recharge basically once a week.  What better option is there. Not interested in a contract.

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: Data

@Ezwee

does she really need more data or does she need to learn control of her usage???

at $30 a week (presuming pre-paid plus) thats pretty high usage.... ($30x4=$120)

-12gig data

- $2800 worth of calls

-unlimited texts

what is she actually running out of? data, calls?

the $40 plan would give her 6 gig data

the $50 plan would give her 8gig data

both would have unlimited calls and texts....

so it looks like paying for 2 lots of $50 pre-paid plus would be your best bet

- save $20

- 16gig data

- unlimited calls and texts

Re: Data

Just checking as a follow-up - is it her mobile phone service or a mobile broadband/internet service?

Re: Data

@Ezwee

well without knowing more detail it really is hard to advise.

maybe investing in

https://www.telstra.com.au/broadband/home-wireless-broadband#Two

but those are on plans which you said you didnt want....

and then for calls you could add

https://www.telstra.com.au/mobile-phones/prepaid-mobiles/offers-and-rates.#long-life

but ultimately its up to you
