Re: Internet connection for a security cam system
Hello,
I have an Arlo Pro 2.
I have it working fine using my home Telstra Nighthawk, connected with a LAN.
But ideally, I want it to work at another location and have its own internet connection.
I am currently thinking of a pre-paid mobile broadband style of device, but will I need a physical connection such as a LAN or a USB or can I connect the Arlo Pro 2 Base station wirelessly? And if so: how ?
Thanks
Best regards,
Dave

Re: Internet connection for a security cam system
The base station needs to be connected to you modem by ethernet cable.
The problem with using a mobile broadband product is that you will need IPv4 connectivity and some of the Telstra network uses IPv6. A Nighthawk M2 or M5 should work, but you may need to play around with the settings.
