Mobile Data Charges at 12.00am when data is off

I have 3 pre-paid mobiles that get mobile data charges up to 20MB at exactly 12.00am.

I have read through the threads and the best explanation I can find is that these charges are a back end billing catch up for usage during the day.

Only problem is that some of the larger charges have not had any other data usage that day.  So this isn't a satisfactory explanation.

I have had 1 particular mobile that has had all data options turned off (as a test) but still receives the charges sometimes 0MB (...?) often much larger.  This only seems to have started occurring this year and is essentially chewing up all of the pre-paid usage.

What is it?

On the one that you have turned all data options of on, try turning off location services as well and see if that eliminates the charges. 

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
