Wireless broadband

I put a $150 recharge on our Mobile internet just 2 weeks ago and has been chewed up already. We have watched 3 movies and a little bit of YouTube but nothing excessive. Msgd through to a Telstra help service only to be told that we shouldn’t watch our movies, etc in HD because that’s what is chewing through the data. Has anyone else heard of such an excuse?

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: Wireless broadband

On Prepaid Mobile Broadband, a $150 recharge is only 40GB, so 3 movies at HD would be enough to chew through that (at around 3GB+ per hour depending on where you get your movies from and even more if your connection isn't 100% stable).

You would actually get more data these days by being on a monthly plan $50 = 50GB and $75 = 100GB

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
