Blacking out

My Foxtel regularly blacks out for a few seconds. Upgraded to an iQ4 & it still does it

Are there any error or other messages when it happens? And under what conditions does it occur - what shows are you watching, Free to Air or On Demand..?


Do you notice anything else dropping out at the same time? any change to the modem indicators?


How is the IQ connected? Was a satellite dish installed as part of the iQ4 upgrade? And is the connection to the modem by ethernet or Wi-Fi? If it is by Wi-Fi, perhaps try an ethernet cable instead, just to see if the problem continues.. 


What make/model of modem do you have and what sort of internet service has been delivered for you?

When you upgraded to the iQ4, did you use a new HDMI cable, or are you still using the old one?

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
