Finally resolved. F0290 error means that the SIM card is not inserted correctly in the set top box. Mine must have juggled in transit as I only switched to the iQ3 on Sunday, and then Foxtel went down...

It's not an error code that is listed on the Foxtel list of error codes.
What are you trying to watch when it happens?
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
