IQ2 occasioinally cutting-off recordings after 38-49 minutes

In the past week, five of 27 recordings have been cut off prematurely without any reason given, e.g. there's no "loss of signal" message or the like.  This has never happened before, yet now I'm seeing a disappointing pattern.  It's happened on both "scheduled overnight" and "while we're watching something else" recordings, with the durations being between 38 and 49 minutes.  I have no idea where to start to debug this, but I'm not used to this sort of failure.  In one case, I was recording two channels simultaneously and one was fine, the other truncated.

FYI Foxtel via NBN HFC. We also have an older IQ that hasn't failed (yet) but concede it does record far less programs that our 1TB IQ2.

Just to clarify, is this happening on Foxtel program channels or on FTA (CH9, 7, 10, ABC, SBS) channels, or both?
