I have just changed my modem to technicolor smart modem gen 2. I am on nbn FTP . The only problem I have is my foxtel iq4 shows it gets to modem but not to foxtel. No cables have been changed and all other equipment is working fine. Foxtel works fine on wifi but will not get pass modem on Ethernet. I want to use Ethernet not wifi. What settings should I have on the modem and iq4 to correct this.

I appreciate all suggestions. all other wired equipment such as computer, nvida shield , Xbox and tv work flawlessly it’s only the iq4 that doesn’t.in any case all cables are cat5e or better.

There are no settings in the modem to fix this. The only other thing I can think of that might cause this is if the IQ4 has a static IP set up on the ethernet port. Check that Ethernet in IQ4 is set to DHCP.
Press SETUP
Press 4 (Setup)
Press 8 (Network Settings)
Press 1 (Network setup)
DHCP
If that doesn't work try manually assigning an IP address
IP address to 192.168.0.250,
subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.0.1
DNS 192.168.0.1

Re: New modem and foxtel
Have you tried changing ethernet cables? The old modem probably had a 100 Mbps port, the new modem has 1 Gbps port that requires a cat5e or cat 6 LAN cable.
