Set Top Box Upgrade Issue.

I have been a Telstra Foxtel customer for a very long time. On the 15th of December last year I was sent an email from Telstra indicating I could upgrade my IQ2 set top box for free. I registered via a form that I wanted this upgrade.

I have been advised ( from telstra ) that I can not upgrade because I would need to change from cable to satellite. ? I live in Brisbane. I find this difficult to understand. Interested to know if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Yes I got the same email and did the upgrade but after 2 weeks not receiving the new iq box I called Telstra.  I have been told the same thing, we have to change from cable to satellite. It’s free to get the satellite so I have booked it in but not sure we can get satellite on our roof - guess we will find out when the technician comes!

I accepted the same deal for the free upgrade. I haven't heard anything back. WTH!
