Can not activate Telstra one number

I have been trying to connect my daughters brand new Apple 5 watch to a Telstra One number since Monday 4th 2020. This is day 6 3 trips back to the Telstra shop 6 hours on the phone hung up on twice and no one has any idea how to fix the problem. Finally I’ve contacted the department of fair trading. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with this purchase. i have the same error message as a previous person in here

this device needs an update to use Telstra one number
