Outdoor Camera Motion Sensor Not working

Hi,  I have 3 outdoor cameras and 1 indoor one.  They all used to work fine up until the last month or so.  The indoor camera picks up motion and sends notifications - no problems there.  None of the 3 outdoor ones pick up motion anymore and therefore do not enact any automation's - which defeats the purpose of having them.  

I have tried different camera sensitivity settings, resetting the cameras, the hub and even deleting one of the cameras and re-pairing it etc.  None have worked - still same issues persist!

Really cant understand why this has happened.  Prior to the sensitivity update to the hub - the outdoor cameras used to go off regularly and it improved to a more controlled motion trigger post this.  Something has happened in recent times.  I also constantly get the "Communication error' coming up on the app - which used to only happen occasionally beforehand.

Where to from here???

If you've also tried restarting the modem, I'd suggest contact Smart Home Faults via 13 22 00

Just to let you know I have the same problem. It occasionally works in bright light, but that is not good enough. I can see motion on the app when people move, but no reporting. New technology can be frustrating can't it?

It may be possible that the lack of movement detection was affected by a "low" setting on the camera. See if that makes a difference as mine seemed to work better  on a high setting.

I have done a camera reset, and tried all levels, but NO motion is detected even although it is able to record me walking in front of it. Not good. Phone calls are an ordeal each time one has a fault.

If you have also restarted the modem and all of the devices with no success, you will need to contact Smart Home Faults on 132200 or online via Live Chat.

Thanks for the reply. I re-booted the cameras, and the outside one then recorded my departure. I then selected "home" and returned home. I expected it would at least report that movement, but the last thing on activity was "still" after my departure.

The system is very "iffy", and yesterday I noticed the Hub was blinking red when I had my problems, so wonder if it was being updated. Can't say I have confidence in its reliability. Good when it works though.

Blinking red means that there is a detected issue. The app should tell you what the issue is. The hub will continue to blink red until it's sorted
