Smart globes on nbn Wi-Fi

Answered

I am almost ready to give up.

Is there a setting on the modem that I need to change, to allow connection for smart globes?

I have an NBN modem with wifi running successfully. Google nest, chromecast and 2 Samsung phone all connect without any issue.

I have tried several brands of light globe but cannotget any connection detected.

Re: Smart globes on nbn Wi-Fi

What model modem do you have (DJA0231, LH1000, DJA0230....)? There is a label with the modem model on it.

Re: Smart globes on nbn Wi-Fi

Thanks Rohan. Sad but true Telstra Smart Home isn't working for me. I'm connecting each globe through the manufactures app, then adding to Google home. So far I have done 1.

On. And off. On and off. On and off.........

Re: Smart globes on nbn Wi-Fi

Hi Rohan.all good!!!

I have found that there are a few steps missing on all these brands apps.

Firstly, with NBN connection, the Wi-Fi is recognised as 5g and therefore above 2.4ghz limit. No idea why.

And secondly, this is bypassed by changing pairing mode on the app to AP.

BUT, you have to boot the light TWICE, to get it from fast blinking to slow blinking.

Then it works!!!!!

Thanks for your reply.
