If your not using the NBN and using mobile data you don't need NBN.

Re: 1000 gig nbn connection
So..
You have:
1. A 1Gb Internet plan from Telstra/NBN?
2. A Foxtel service - what box do you have, satellite service?
3. A wireless broadband service (4G modem)?
Is that correct?
Do you have a home phone?
What Telstra, NBN, Foxtel or other equipment do you have - can you provide make and model information please?

Re: 1000 gig nbn connection
If you are using subscription services such as Netflix, Foxtel Now, Stan, Prime, Disney Plus, Kayo, Binge, etc then you need an internet connection (whether it be NBN or mobile broadband - which is far more expensive).
If you are using the wifi from your modem to connect to the internet then you need the NBN connection.

Re: 1000 gig nbn connection
The data usage meters for Telstra NBN connections were turned off in march as part of Telstra's response to covid-19. Are you sure you are not using any NBN data?

Re: 1000 gig nbn connection
If you need up to 200GB, have a look at the latest mobile broadband plans, which have recently been changed whereby you receive twice as much data for the same price.
https://www.telstra.com.au/internet/data-plans
Even with 1 bar of signal, I get 200mb/s to 260 mb/s just on 4GX with a Nighthawk 4GX modem, which is so much faster than NBN.
This is something to possibly consider.
If I have helped you, a "Like" would be appreciated.
If my advice is a solution, please acknowledge it.

Re: 1000 gig nbn connection
1. OK
2. do you mean Foxtel/Foxtel Go?
3. That is NBN Wireless broadband? or a Telstra/Optus 4G SIM?
If you drop the Telstra/NBN internet, you will probably lose your homephone (i.e. not NBN.. )
