2 NBN connections at home

Hi everyone,

I am looking at building a new home and I work from home 4 out of 5 days a week. In my current home I have 1 NBN FTTN connection. 30mb down and 5mb up on average.

My challenge is my video (and sometimes audio) on my surface (wifi) regularly drops out. I have to get the kids to turn off or disconnect their devices just to keep it running. I have had my connection checked and all ok.

I would like to have 2 NBN connections in my new home (1 for work and 1 for private) so my work connection is never connected to anything else.

Does NBN (Telstra do this?) I am unsure of the new block is FTTN or FTTP.

Looking for advice!

Best

Benjamin

Re: 2 NBN connections at home

It will all come down to the infrastructure that is available at your new location. If NBN Co has installed enough connections at the location, then you should be able to get a second wired connection to the premises.

To find out the technology type that is available, go to nbnco.com.au and type the address into the search bar.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Set it & forget it

With direct debit there’s no need to give paying your bill another thought.

Avoid queuing up and never worry about late fees again.
