Adsl connected but no internet

Hi. There was an in internet outage in our area yesterday (chevallum 4555) today we are able to get an Adsl connection on our modem ( ie adsl line is up and connected) but there is no internet access. We have switched in an alternative modem and connect directly to it, and we have the same issue. Adsl link is up, but no internet access on any pc, tablet or device. We have also put in new line filter etc. I don't think there is anything left to try at our end, but seems yesterday's outage hasn't been resolved in full? Help

Have you checked that the modem has the correct bigpond username and password in the PPPOE settings?

Yes,  we have even installed a new modem. Actually we seem to be on a hybrid adsl service that doesn’t need username password. But have tried with and without.

 

Then we have just identified that the second house on the property has same problem. ( same property, independent adsl landline and account and modem. 

So seems to be a flow on from yesterday’s outage, thou outage page says no problem.

Have you tried using the trouble shooting tool here? After running the trouble shooter you should be able to leave a message for some one to contact you. There is no Telstra staff monitoring this site who will be able to assist with this problem.
