Assigning a static IP address to a security camera through Telstra router & NBN
Hi all
This or a similar question seems to have been asked before and never answered. I tried to assign a static address through the Telstra Gateway and it seems to go wreck havoc with my camera. I was advised to:
- find the current dynamic address being used by the IP camera;
- ensure no other device is using this address;
- copy IP address in the search bar and open; and
- then disable (untick) the dynamic box and close.
Does anyone know the correct method?
Cheers

The method of setting a static address depends on your gateway. If you have the Gen 2 gateway see section 8 of the document linked in these posts.
