Bigpond Premium Speed - Velocity (100mbps)

Hi all

 

I am on a 100mbps Bigpond Premium Speed Velocity plan

 

I was consistently getting around 93-95mbps with my old desktop. I have recently bought a new HP All-in-one desktop and my speeds have dropped down to between 30 and 40mbps/

 

I am on Fibreoptic and connect via an Ethernet cable connected directly to the Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 with voice backup (Arcadyan LH1000)

 

I have connected another laptop to the modem with the cable and the speed is around 95mbps.

 

I have tried setting the network card to Full Duplex (100mb) on the new machine and this doesn't help. IK have u[dated the network drivers and run windows update.

 

Any idea what could be the issue? Any suggestions on what I could try?

Best to ring HP warranty support on 13 23 47.

Please try  using a different browser.

I have HP computers, but have never experienced that problem.

Go to https://support.hp.com/au-en and look up your model number.

You can then run the networking troubleshooter and it will attempt to diagnose and fix the problem for you.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Set it & forget it

With direct debit there’s no need to give paying your bill another thought.

Avoid queuing up and never worry about late fees again.
