Blue light on Smart Modem 2, download speed at 1MBPs

I was connected to NBN on April 1st, received the new Smart Modem 2. Wish I hadn't now and stayed with ADSL. The download speed is a joke, like being back in 2005. The front shows a blue light, back all green. Reading the forums this isn't unusual, but of course Telstra cannot answer any issues at all right now, and there are "no outages" and "your speed is fine" and other such standard swerves. Go onto a third party (or honest) tester and it says "you have a slow connection". Anyone know how I can fix or address? Thanks for any help. Duncan

Did you ever get this fixed?  My modem showing a blue light with very slow speeds.  I've tried resetting the modem by rebooting several times with no success
