broadband slow

Hi all,

Finally got my smart modem 2 last week and had the internet up in an hour on the mobile network as the adsl light never came on but now the speed is rediculously slow.

I have tried rebooting several times  checked my login credentials.

Nothing seems to be working and due to covid 19 can't get support over the phone. Any ideas on what I can do would be very appreciated.

The 4G backup gets throttled to 246Kbps if used for an extended period of time and only way to remove throttling is to contact support.

 

Have you tried using the blue message icon on the bottom right of the Help section on the My Telstra app to contact support?

Tried that but it keeps saying connection failed to the messenger

Are you using a mobile data connection or the modem's WiFi on your phone for the internet? The modem's WiFi might be to slow for the messenger app.

Just got on atm via my mobile network, will see how I go
