Cable got cut, what to do

I was planning to get telstra cable at my house, but unfortunately the cable got cut a long time ago when a tree was getting removed. The cable got cut about halfway up my driveway.

What are my options? Is it possible to fix the cable or will I need telstra to lay a new cable.

Does the "Professional Installation" offered by telstra include laying a new cable from the pit to my existing cable/foxtel port?

Re: Cable got cut, what to do

It is hard to say, it would really depend on the specifics of the situation. If we are talking overhead cabling then it is likely that a professional install would be able to fix that up. However, for below ground a cable cut is likely to have also damaged the conduit. In this case the trenching and replacing the conduit is usually done at the expense of the owner.

I would recommend placing an order and seeing how it progresses.
