Can I BYO cable modem to save upfront costs?

Hi all

I'm looking to get a new home broadband connection  - does anyone know if I can BYO modem and save the $156 cost of sending out another modem to me?  I have a Telstra cable modem from a connection from my previous home and seems wasteful to have to get another one.

Thanks in advance

Yes you can , and there should be no hasle with compatability Smiley Happy

You should just have to get the cable conection sorted then hook up your modem and add all the new account details.

Thanks Chrodo. Went on Live Chat to get my connection and they told me that it may not be 'naked cable' compatible.
