Connection date
What does it mean by expected connection date for my NBN self connection. Does it mean this is the date that I unplug my current cable internet and connect the NBN box and modem that I have received

Yes on that date you unplug your current cable modem and connect the NBN modem.. It is the planned date for your connection to NBN.and if there are no unforseen problems you will be connected to NBN on this date.

Their terminology means .......It's the date when NBN switch your service/s from the old POTS (plain old telephone service) cabled and connected telephone system in the local Telstra exchange, which NBN now rent, to the NBN cabling and hardware in the local Telstra exchange.
