Do I need to change to NBN from Cable?

I just received a call from (03) 8518 6446 and asked me to provide my private information to change to NBN from Cable. Is this a scam?

It could be a scam. You do have to transfer to NBN within 18 months of NBN first becoming available in your area. If you want to transfer contact your ISP directly using there normal contact number or website.
