I'm ready to move from ADSL to NBN. I've received a new smart modem for that. The documentation says that if I connect the new modem, Telstra will automatically change my service form ADSL to NBN. Since I cannot afford a long period without internet at the moment, I was wondering if there will be any internet downtime, whilst being upgraded.
Thanks,
Marcel

If there are no problems you should only lose internet for about 15 minutes while the Technician disconnects your line from the exchange and connects the line to the node. I transferred from ADSL to NBN FTTN about 2 years ago and there was only a 15 minute break in the internet connection.
