My gen 2 Smart Modem works with Wifi and connects to TV. Won’t connect using Ethernet through my Smart Home connections. Any ideas to solve problem welcome.

From the label on the bottom of the modem, can you advise the make and model of the modem?
Are you able to connect other devices (i.e. NOT smart home) via cable?
Too many devices, probably an addict :-) also a tinkerer and developer of stuff..
Not with Telstra, just another customer like you!
