From 30 to 3 Mb/s on NBN?
We have been getting over 30 Mb/s for the past couple of years consistently.
For the past month our speed has dropped to 3Mb/s and constantly drops out.
When trying to escalate, the Telstra supervisor tells me that the maximum I can ever get in my area is 5 Mb/s due to NBN infrastructure.
When I ask how does he explain that I’ve been getting over 30Mb/s consistently for years, he cannot explain that and tells me it can’t be proven.
Cant even update apps on my phone or watch Netflix on 3 Mb/s.
Does this sound right to anyone???

Post your modem stats:
On a Premium Home Network Gateway, T-Gateway, Gateway Max, or Gateway Max 2
(TG587, TG797, TG799, TG800):
http://10.0.0.138/ > Advanced > Broadband
On a Telstra Gateway
(Sagemcom F@st 5355):
http://10.0.0.138/ > Advanced > Gateway Settings > Device Info > General > xDSL (Bottom of Page)
On a Frontier Gateway or Telstra Smart Modem
(DJN2130 or DJA0230):
http://192.168.0.1/ > Advanced > Broadband
Default password is generally 'admin'
You're looking for line rates, power levels, attenuation etc
Are the tests being run over Ethernet or WiFi?
Are they being run during peak times (3PM-12AM)?
