Getting a new unit added to address availability

Answered
Hi guys,

We are moving to a newly built unit block which is 110% in a cable area, but as being a new unit has not been added as being cable available in Telstras internal systems.

Funnily enough I’ve been through this exact situation before and been given a number to contact to get them to check the address and add it so I can make a cable order/move, but it was a couple years ago and I’ve completely lost it.

Does anyone know the avenue/number to get your newly built unit added as being cable available?

Thanks!

Hey Steviololoz,

Thank you for  your post.

If you wished to look at connecting a new cable service come through our secure chat line here  http://tel.st/fe7ag and we will run checks to determine availability. Check out our plans online here beforehand if you like - http://tel.st/evcg9.

Also, you can check when the nbn becomes available online here http://tel.st/3zvnz should you wish to.

Please let me know how you go on chat and if you have any further questions.

Thank you.

Are you in an area where the NBN had been rolled out? If so (or if the are more than 4 units in your complex), then it would have to be declared serviceable by NBN Co, who pass the details to Telstra. Note: most HFC areas have transferred to NBN Co already even if the area hasn't been fully rolled out yet.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
