Has anyone successfully added a Google Nest to their Telstra Router or Tesltra WAN?

I would like to know if anyone has been successful at adding their Google Nest to their Telstra Smart Modem or managed to connect to the Telstra WAN using the Nest hub as the Router?

If so,  I would appreciate knowing what the secret is... Telstra tech support certainly doesn't know.
