HFC Cable

I have a HFC cable coming into my home.

I can't remember what the previous owner said it was for.

When I had Foxtel connected a few years ago, a satellite was installed. They didn't even mention the cable.

Can I use it to connect the NBN?

It seems a waste to have this cable wired to the house and have nothing I can use it for.

Thanks.

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: HFC Cable

is it a single port wallplate or multi-port?

Does it have a telstra or foxtel logo on the wallplate

Its not your aerial plate is it?

Re: HFC Cable

if i recall correctly (don't) opt...us also had cable tv cables which NBNco rejected (after purchasing it) because they were in such poor condition.

Re: HFC Cable

That's it! I remember now.

Too bad about it not being used.

What a waste of infrastructure!

Thanks.
