HFC - Would like to utilise my own Router and have Telstra Modem host VOIP Calls

Answered

Hello CrowdSupport community.

Looking for assistance.

Current Configuration NTD - AX6000 - Gen2 (VOIP)

AX6000 (Connected direct to NTD)

Firmware - 1.1.0 Build 20200427 rel.80857(5553)

Hardware - Archer AX6000 v1.0

Gen2 - (Connected from AX6000 (LAN) - Gen2 (WAN)

Product Vendor - Arcadyan
Product Name - LH1000

Boot Version - 1.0.38-116.118
Firmware Version - 0.10.05r
Hardware Version - 01

Issue is two fold.

1/. - In BridgeMode on Gen2 No VOIP

2/. - In Router Mode No VOIP (not configured/running - No DHCP / No IP6 / No WiFi)

Is there a way to make this work?  AX6000 allows me to configure the Home Network to support tech within the home, so placing AX6000 in bridge mode is not option.

Help !

Re: HFC - Would like to utilise my own Router and have Telstra Modem host VOIP Calls

See section 22 of document link in this post which is for a FTTN link,

  1. Connect LH1000 directly to NTD until VOIP has been configured indicated by phone light turning green
  2. Change LAN IP address of LH1000 so that it is not in same subset as AX6000. Example change to 192.168.100.1. See section 27 of document linked in this post.
  3. Disconnect LH1000 from NTD and connect AX6000.
  4. Connect WAN port of LH1000 to LAN port of AX6000
