High ping/latency from Perth to Singapore (routing issue)

Hi, I am having high ping/latency issues (ranging from 200 ~ 350ms) when gaming online (e.g. games such as Fortnite). I believe this is a straight routing issue whereby I have tracked my routing via cmd prompt by pinging to a public DNS Singapore server as shown below,

Further details:

1. I am currently using an ADSL2+ connection provided by Belong which utilizes the Telstra network.

2. I managed to achieve 50 ~80 ms with my previous ISP (iinet) by their efficient routing and firmly believe that Telstra could solve this easily based on previously reported cases (e.g. a similar case - https://crowdsupport.telstra.com.au/t5/Home-Broadband/Perth-high-ping-to-Singapore-Bad-routing/td-p/...)

3. The issue is not concerned with wireless or wire as I have tested. 

4. I have also cross checked with the online documentations that may resolve my problem as per https://crowdsupport.telstra.com.au/t5/Broadband-nbn/International-routing-latency-and-ping/ta-p/309... .

From memory the cable from perth to Singapore plays up alot which is most likely the cause as the traffic is rerouted. When the new indigo cable comes online hopefully shouldn't see these issues for a while. In saying that though there is no guarantee latency on consumer services.

Yeah another issue with the smw3 submarine cable since about Thursday last week

Hi, thx for the response. Is there anywhere I could check the progression on when the cable would be fixed? I have tried to call my isp to help with the routing issue but to no avail as most of them are completely clueless. Is it normal for my routing trace to go from sydney to Hong Kong and finally to Singapore using Telstra's network?

Last I checked there wasn't an ETA yet.

You used to be able to check the service status for the smw3 on Vocus's service status page though I'm not sure if they still would now that their new cable is online. Telstra doesn't have an international service status page

Is it normal for that type routing to occur if there is a cable issue, Syndey is the only other international point of presence
