How Do I View The Cable Connection Speed on a Gateway Max?

Cable broadband is new to me. I'm used to being able to log into a router and view the ADSL status, connection speed and noise levels.

I've got one the latest Gateway Max Cable Netgear modems and I see no where to view the connection speed.
What's the deal with that?

I ask as I'm tossing up wether to get SpeedBoost...

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: How Do I View The Cable Connection Speed on a Gateway Max?

Cable is more constant, it is very uncommon for it not to be receiving 100mbps connection speed,

I had with the speedboost and other then when it was peak times I was always getting 90-100mbps actual speed (by speedtest.net) and in peek times it will drop down, but would usually sit about 65-75mbps, without the speedboost, it will just cap out at 30mpbs rather then go all the way.
