Insanely slow NBN speeds

Living in the city I expect to have faster speeds than what is seen in the attached image. I have tried all the usual tactics of restarting the modem and unplugging and replugging in all the cables multiple times. I have contacted support which took two hours for them to just send an NBN technician and nothing else. This is unacceptable for proposed speeds of 40-50 Mbps on the current plan.

Re: Insanely slow NBN speeds

What type of NBN connection do you have (FTTC, FTTN, FTTB, FTTP, HFC or fixed radio)?. Do you get the same bad results on more than one device?

Re: Insanely slow NBN speeds

I have an FTTN connection and all of the devices connected to the network experience similar slow speeds. Even after restarting the modem and only having one device connected, the speed is still barely acceptable.
